From bare bones to cutting-edge green living — built with precision and powered by the future.

Earlier this year, we completed the structural phase of this loft conversion. Now, it’s fully transformed with solar panels, herringbone flooring laid over underfloor heating, and a completely gas-free system.

In the utility room, we’ve installed a high-efficiency air source heat pump, supported by a 10-amp backup battery — delivering clean, reliable energy around the clock.

This home now operates without gas. Heating and hot water are primarily powered by the sun, with solar energy converted and stored to drive the underfloor heating system throughout the property. During periods of low solar generation, the system seamlessly integrates with grid electricity to ensure consistent performance.

Outside, the loft conversion is finished with a crisp, durable silicon render, giving the exterior a clean, modern look to match the technology inside.

We’ve taken this house back to its shell and rebuilt it using today’s most advanced, energy-efficient systems. A perfect example of how expert craftsmanship and smart design can future-proof any home.

We’re thrilled to share that our team is currently working on a truly unique project at The Old Mill in the picturesque village of High Easter, near Chelmsford, Essex. This stunning Grade II listed building, originally constructed as a post mill in the late 19th century (with one beam dating back to 1799!), was beautifully converted into a house in the late 20th century.

Our client acquired this historic gem just three months ago, and we’ve been entrusted with the task of restoring and refurbishing its windows, as well as addressing various interior and exterior issues. Surrounded by breathtaking countryside, The Old Mill presents a wonderful opportunity to blend heritage with modern craftsmanship. This project involved combining two properties into one dwelling. The original basement was underpinned, and our team excavated deeper to increase the storey height. This task required a particularly specialised set of skills and careful attention due to the property’s proximity to the Thames, necessitating completion at specific tide times.

Works Included:

✅ Creation of new bespoke furniture throughout, crafted by our talented in-house carpenters, including all interior joinery, wardrobes, kitchen, and more, all bespoke and fitted on site.

✅ Full strip-out in preparation for a new skeleton steel structure from the basement to the 4th floor.

✅ Installation of floor-to-ceiling windows to transfer light across each level.

✅ Installation of solar PV panels and a heat source pump to ensure an energy-efficient underfloor heating system.

✅ Lutron mode lighting installation.

✅ Installation of a platform lift serving all levels.

Our Team’s Top 3 Showstoppers:

1️⃣ The Kitchen Floor: Made of Volzer stone, a volcanic rock with quartz inclusions.

2️⃣ Vitrocsa Window: Imported from Portugal, installed over two floors with Kebony timber louvers. This 5m high and 2.5m wide window required extra special care and installation, costing over £50,000 alone.

A quick check in on one of our ongoing projects - what will be a fully glazed Q box. Currently, the box steel frame is in place, setting the stage for a seamless glass structure. Once completed, this design will include a timber window seat, bespoke PPC aluminium bonded flashing, and high-density insulated spandrel panels. Additionally, we’re incorporating Visqueen high-performance damp proof membrane for enhanced durability and protection. We love a challenge, breathing new life into old materials, and a good story, so this project brought something very special to the table indeed (literally) 🙌🏼

This tree sadly fell due to natural causes at the incredible age of approx. 270 years in Vicarage Lane, East London. It’s believed she was either planted or a seed was dropped by a bird in 1750 😱

We lovingly recycled her to a spectacular family table measuring 3.6 meters long and 1.4 meters wide.
This included enhancing the wood’s imperfections with a beautiful resin.

Our owner Shaun was inspired to create the legs from a trip to Normandy, where he learnt about the anti-tank traps used in WW2 (Google has some great pictures and information) 🤯

A non-conventional but totally functional design to hold up the table structure without intruding on anyone’s leg space.

We had them custom made by Blueprint Engineering with solid brass feet (height adjustable) after providing them with our wooden template.

While most of our projects are on a much larger scale, it’s stories like these that fuel our passion for what we do. Innovation, creativity, and history come together to create something truly unique - a lot like our incredible team.

Here you see the team using self-levelling compound, a cement-based product that creates a smooth, level surface, ideal for laying tiles or hardwood in intricate patterns like herringbone.

We typically use it to correct minor imperfections and ensure a stable base for your flooring, ultimately enhancing the aesthetic appeal and longevity of the installation.

This £1m project took place in a stunning 1700s property in London. When you can step into your garden and have a stunning view of the Thames you know you’ve got something special.

With visual defects from WW2, we had a serious task of rescuing this beautiful building from falling into the river. After stripping back the walls, the full extent of the damage was seen so our team got straight to work.
